the due date for the WW1 project is actually Feb. 9  not the 16th…FEB 9 for WW1 project!!!!!

Students will create a project based on a topic dealing with World War 1.  This will be a partner or individual project.::  This will be a research project and will involve quite a bit of student choice.  Student work will reflect a knowledge of their topic and definitely show hard work.  The students may create the following types of projects.::  Website-with a one page summary paper//// Powerpoint with 15-20 slides and captions–and a one page summary paper./// Research Paper  3-5 pages,only for individuals.//  3-D exhibit with good details–1 page summary paper as well….

Students may also clear a different type of project with me.

Topics:  Women in the war,, the Homefront.. Literature during the war, or about the war…Technology during war…guns…submarines…air power….medical advances…

Students may also suggest their own topics that are cleared with me….  This project deals with WW1 mainly on the European and Asian side,,America’s involvement will be done later..

History Day is December 7th,,only 8 days away!!!!!!!  We are in desperate need of parent help…please email me!!  The history day project is worth 200 points.

Yesterday students were assigned to interview a parent, grandparent or other adult about technological changes they have seen in their lifetime.  Students need to get the information about what the adult has seen and how the changes affected the adult’s life either postitively or negatively.  Students take information from the interview and create a 1 page paper about the interview and  whether changes have been positive or negative.

Pretend you are a soldier in Napoleon’s Grand Army.  You have been forced to turn away from your invasion of Russia and are heading home while fighting the horrible Russian Winter.  Create a journal of your journey home.  Describe your hardships and feelings as you make the “Grand Retreat” back towards French territory.

Due Friday or Monday,,students choice on how intricate and creative they want!

About 1 page in length, use internet sources to learn about the Grand Retreat.

Chapter 2 test on Enlightenment, English Civil War, Glorious Revolution and AMerican Revolution is Tuesday September 27.
